The new launch follows the success of the Paco Rabanne 1 Million men’s fragrance, a best seller in duty-free

Following the major success of its 2008 men’s scent, 1 Million, Paco Rabanne is poised to launch an accompanying women’s version called Lady Million this summer.

The women’s scent is loosely modelled on the men’s version but instead of using a gold ingot, the container is a diamond cushion-cut stone with a gold cap designed by Noé Duchaufour-Lawrence who also created the 1 Million bottle.

According to Frederic Appaire, international marketing director at Paco Rabanne parent company Puig Prestige Beauté, the aim of the women’s scent is to create “a counterpart to the original... flamboyant but independent”.

Lady Million will launch in France in mid-July and in the UK from the end of August. The scent was developed by IFF and is described as a fresh woody floral with orange blossom at its heart but includes notes of raspberry and honey.
